Happy, Healthy Bare Feet Workshop
Online by Zoom
Sunday 23rd July, 0930 - 1130am
£30
How are your feet? I've been noticing i'm wearing shoes less and going bare foot or wearing sandals more. Summer's a good time to air one's tootsies. If you have sore feet, plantar fasciitis, want to transition to bare foot or minimal shoes, or simply to give some care to your feet, we'll be exploring some supportive stretches, self-massage and movements. Part of this workshop will be on how the health of our feet helps support healthy movement through the whole body, and the science of touch - how contacting our nerves through massage communicates to our nervous system, and the effect that this brings to improve our movement.
Please bring : A massage ball of some kind (could be a tennis ball, some kind of massage ball, or a green Franklin ball is amazing and I’d recommend as an investment.)
What's included :
- Tips for practices to take regularly (daily) to keep feet healthy, springy and alive
- How to build healthy arches in your feet
- Supporting plantaar fasciitis
- How to train your feet so you can go barefoot, for long walks and to stand for long periods of time
- Exploration of the science of touch
- A recording of the class to follow the live session
