Here’s how we can work together

Brine pickles fresh, organic produce from local farmers in California. Even our spices are fresh. Just because pickling is a preservation process doesn’t mean you can use dried-up thyme or week-old asparagus that’s already a little spongy. We want to give our customers crisp, crunchy and delicious pickled vegetables and fruits. Most of all, we want to expand people’s palates and prove that pickles don’t always come in a green or red variety.

Join me for an engaging somatic deep-dive into ADHD and ways of supporting our bodies, minds, nervous systems and whole selves using a body-mind (somatic) approach.

In this workshop, we will cover:

  • Emerging scientific research on ADHD

  • Practices to enhance executive functioning, emotional regulation, and energy management (upregulation & downregulation)

  • The connection between ADHD and trauma

  • How to integrate Somatic Experiencing, qigong, and somatic movement into your daily routine for consistent support.

I’ve been researching ADHD for a while, as a late-diagnosed ADHD person (I received my diagnosis in 2019), and I’ve been inspired to create this workshop through my personal research, and drawing on my training in embodied movement and somatic trauma therapy (Somatic Experiencing). 

This workshop is designed for adults, and is for you whether you have ADHD (diagnosed or self-identifying) if you’re curious about ADHD, or have people in your life with ADHD.

I know that many in this community have also been diagnosed with ADHD, and there are common traits that unite us. Despite there being so many of us, I don’t believe for one moment that this is a trend - as author Kat Brown’s title of her book (about ADHD) says: ‘It’s not a bloody fad’. However, I do believe, collectively, that we’re discovering and taking more of an interest in our own traits and unique nervous system patterning, and there is a cluster of traits that unite people with ADHD, that formed from a young age. By recognising these, we can begin to un-shame ourselves from the many years of (likely) feeling that we’re not living up to our potential, or missing the mark in some way. And explore other ways of self-relating, and approaching our way of being in the world.

Something that unites all humans is our ability to form new neural pathways (through the process of neuroplasticity). Through neuroplasticity, it’s likely we can support some of the ways we are challenged by ADHD. Somatic Experiencing is a practice that can help us with this.

All of this approached, rather than through force of will, in a gentle way where we nourish our reserves of energy and nervous system capacity rather than just grinding through. 

I know many of you are artists, musicians, writers, entrepreneurs, passionate and inspired people and you have the gift of bigger-picture thinking, drawing connections between a wide range of different subjects to create original, fresh perspectives. Along with tons of empathy, and great intuition. These are some of the gifts of ADHD.


There are also some challenges. Let’s be real about those. From a young age our nervous systems have been patterned towards tendencies of freeze - not being able to get going, procrastination, with things that feel too big or overwhelming, and with things that don’t interest us. Then, we can get caught in waves of high (sympathetic - fight / flight) energy, in flurries of activity and hyperfocus which we can find really hard to come down from, to the point of depletion or burnout. We’ill be exploring why the modulating of effort can be challenging for us, and how to practice and strengthen our ability to modulate and go between lower and higher energy states (upregulation and downregulation).

We also have a tendency to feel things deeply. This can be a beautiful thing in the world, and inspires creativity. It can also be painful, and a form of distraction. We’ll explore how to build our capacity to be with intense emotions, and sensations, through Somatic Experiencing, so they are less likely to sweep us away.

Hi, I’m Charlotte!

Holistic therapist since 2008, cat mum, artist, equally interested in science and intuition, sea and forest-lover, living down by the beach in Dorset, UK. I’m a survivor of complex trauma, and for many years was suffering in body and mind, which led me to explore different ways of feeling better.

People often describe me as grounding, down-to-earth, and like I help them to feel at ease and comfortable enough to be themselves in the sessions we do together.

I’m a neurodivergent person with ADHD, who believes that nervous system healing can be supportive to all folks, including those who identify as neurodivergent.

If you’d like to continue or begin again with your yoga / movement practice, you might like to join online classes with me and a wonderful community of regular peeps, to feel supported, healthy and strong as we move, day to day.

What is the online membership?
Full access
to the online movement studio (live classes by Zoom, and recordings) with a focus on body-mind wellbeing. There are a variety of different classes (over 10 per week), monthly more in-depth workshops, and quarterly ‘special practice weeks’ with a special focus to dive deeper into the practice. From  hatha yoga, pilates-inspired classes, resistance band classes, ground-based hanna-somatic movement classes and qigong. 

Who it’s for?
People who would like to feel a greater ease in their movement through their whole body, to feel more steady, grounded, connected. To feel well-balanced energy. To feel strong, with fewer aches and pains. Anyone who would like the peace of mind in knowing that they’re moving enough, in a variety of different ways to nourish their body, mind and spirit on a daily basis. All with the ease of accessing classes from home. People who value learning in community and an ongoing connection with an experienced facilitator (teaching over 10 years) who can guide you to stay interested  / expand / deepen your practice.

Why it’s special :
The membership is focused on you and your individual needs - you get a 1:1 session with me each month so we can catch up and figure out how I can best support you. This session could also or instead be a somatic check-in / therapy session (using an approach called Somatic Experiencing), to give you a regular space to notice how you are and help digest the recent experiences of your life.

What really makes the online membership special, too, is the combination of different approaches to help you support your body, but also your mind, and your nervous system - gradually giving you the tools and capacity to be with the intensity and challenges of life, and feel better able to ride the waves of intensity along the way.

How does it work?
Your investment is £80 per month, and you pay monthly, with the option to cancel at any time.
You receive a zoom link which will allow you to access all online classes, workshops and special practice weeks. You’ll also be able to log in to a web page and access recordings of some of the classes, which are uploaded immediately after the class, and a video library of past classes. This allows you to practice even if you can’t make the live class time.
You also receive a monthly one to one session with me.
