Happy New Year : Qigong Practice (20 mins)
Happy New Year to you! Thank you for being here, and for staying connected.
This is a simple movement practice, of 20 mins, which can be taken either standing or seated, and it’s designed to help create a positive shift in your energy, and to help come back to a sense of being embodied, clear and connected.
There can be an awesome upsurge of energy in the New Year, and it’s also a time when we might feel a lot of pressure to get going with new things, or to create a big change in a short amount of time. This practice supports our energy whether we are feeling excited and raring to go, or overwhelmed. Research shows that lasting, meaningful change happens more often in practising small shifts, or practising small actions over a period of time.
This practice explores in an experiential way how we can create a small shift (or maybe even a big one!) in our body, mind and our whole experience in just a few minutes.
