Do this daily to feel better and move better!

Sharing this self-massage sequence today from Dr Perry Nickelston @stopchasingpain . I've been working with it daily for a while and I enjoy the stimulating effect and how it feels like it really increases circulation

A few pointers :

1. Work with this daily - it will take just 5 mins

2. You can do before movement / training / exercise as it preps the body with healthy blood flow, lymph flow and nerve flow, and sensory proprioceptive awareness of the primary joints in the body, where the 'big pipes' reside : arteries, veins, nerves, lymph node clusters. This is like turning up the dial of our body awareness before we move, which can increase our enjoyment, power, precision and efficiency of movement

3. Shaking / rebounding for 10-20 seconds helps get circulation flowing

4. After rebounding, you can go to your movement of choice!

Note : detoxification reactions may occur temporarily. This means you may feel worse before you feel better. 'better out than in'

You can also do this after a training session, to help with recovery.

When we work out, you break down cells and destroy cells on purpose, so you can make / build new, stronger more resilient ones. The metabolic waste from breaking down the cells needs to get out, and this happens via veins and lymph. This sequence will help with that process.

This sequence helps to 'clear the pipes' for nutrients in and waste out. It will also help with better recovery.

Make it your own

⭐5-10 seconds each point

⭐ Your preferred level of pressure

Order (5-10 seconds each point):

1️⃣Collarbones

2️⃣Sides of neck (just behind back corner of jawline)

3️⃣Chest / shoulder joint

4️⃣Belly

5️⃣ Hip crease

6️⃣Backs of knees

Better blood flow, waste management and sensory awareness = better movement

A simple, effective, go-to sequence, which takes just a few minutes each day.

If you try it, let me know how you get on with it?
