A big influence for me has been the Scaravelli-inspired style of Yoga practice, a relatively gentle form of Yoga which is accessible to all, and anyone can benefit from, regardless of level of experience, age, or if they have an injury. This style emphasises working with the breath to develop core strength and creating length along the spine. In my Yoga classes, I like to emphasise bringing our full attention to movements which may on the surface appear relatively simple, to relieve tension from and build strength within the body, work towards breathing more deeply and freely, and find mental clarity and stillness.
Somatic movement has also recently become another big focus in my yoga practice. This works with connecting with the felt sense of different systems within our bodies and exploring how the mind is expressed through the body in movement. My own experience has been one of wonder: that It's amazing how much there is to feel, and what the body can teach us about ourselves if we just give it our attention.

A large part of my work as a Yoga teacher is now comprised of one-to-one sessions. These allow for a lot more attention to the individual. One-to-one clients may be working with a specific injury or other consideration, or simply short of time and so a private session better suits their schedule. One-to-ones may be structured in a similar way to group Yoga classes, or more often they will flow from a specific starting point according to information we gather along the way. I may also incorporate elements of massage or other bodywork into one-to-one sessions.
I have studied various forms of Eastern and Western bodywork, and am trained in therapeutic, deep tissue and remedial massage therapy. I work in Central London clinics and also onsite within various businesses.
